Meet The Founder
I love to sit across from people who are asking the deeper questions. Of themselves, of others, and of the world around them. The therapeutic process can bring things to the surface that you would never expect, and this is usually where the most meaningful growth begins. I began my work in this field primarily working with children and their caretakers both in hospital and in outpatient settings. I have now worked in the mental health field for eight years, primarily with mother’s and women.
It was in both my own experience of becoming a mother, as well as through my work with children and their parents, that I began to take note of the stories that are unique to mothers and how these impact their mental wellbeing. It is a joy to do this work. To witness growth, pain, courage and insights. It isn’t easy, but it is so rewarding. It truly is one of my life’s greatest privileges.
In my spare time time I enjoy writing, reading of all kinds, and going on long nature romps with my very eager Labrador, Sonny. I enjoy baking sweets (making messes) and dancing with my children. I’ll leave you with a quote from a man whose book first inspired me to begin this work.
"Life is not primarily a quest for pleasure, as Freud believed, or a quest for power, as Alfred Adler taught, but a quest for meaning. The greatest task for any person is to find meaning in his or her own life."
